One day after former Aliquippa lineman Naquan Crowder was landed by Minnesota in the college football transfer portal, two more former Quip defensive standouts have also found new homes in the portal, one also committing to a Big Ten program.
On Jan. 6, redshirt-senior defensive end Zuriah Fisher and true freshman safety Arison Walker announced their commitments, with Fisher committing to the University of Southern California, while Walker is taking his talents to Indiana State.

Fisher had a six-year career at Penn State, redshirting his freshman year and earning a medical redshirt in 2024.
After missing his redshirt-senior season in 2024 with an injury, Fisher came back in 2025 and started 11 games before hitting the transfer portal.
In those contests, Fisher logged 19 total tackles, 3.5 for a loss, two sacks, one forced fumble and a pass breakup.
Throughout his collegiate career with the Nittany Lions, Fisher appeared in 35 games, logging 41 tackles, seven tackles for a loss and 5.5 sacks.
Before his career at Penn State, Fisher was named the Beaver County Times’ Boys Athlete of the Year for the 2019-20 school year, the Tri-County West Conference Defensive Player of the Year and was named an all-state linebacker in his senior campaign.
Fisher will join a USC program that finished as the 16th-ranked team in the country, finishing 9-4 overall and 7-2 in the Big Ten.
As for Walker, he began his collegiate career at St. Francis University in a unique situation, entering his freshman season after the university announced that it would be transitioning from Division I to Division III for the 2026-27 athletic season, joining the Presidents Athletic Conference.
While the safety was initially caught off guard by the news, he quickly decided that he would make the most of the opportunity being on scholarship with the team and try to leverage his success and move to another program in the offseason.
The freshman did just that, starting six games as a true freshman and appearing in 11 games, recording 22 tackles, 2.5 for a loss, with three pass breakups. Walker entered the portal on January 2 when it officially opened and committed to the Sycamores program after an official visit a few days later.
Indiana State finished 3-9 overall and 1-7 in the Missouri Valley Football Conference which features some of the top programs in the FCS level, including North Dakota State, South Dakota State, FCS runner-up Illinois State and Youngstown State.
