The Carolina Panthers are reportedly set to meet with one of college football's top players from 2025.

According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, the team is expected to bring in Vanderbilt University quarterback Diego Pavia for a visit on Tuesday. The 24-year-old was a finalist for this past season's Heisman Trophy, finishing as the runner-up to winner and projected No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza.

An Albuquerque, N.M. native, Pavia spent two seasons at New Mexico Military Institute and two seasons at New Mexico State before joining Vanderbilt in 2024. He'd win the NJCAA Division I national championship with NMMI in 2021 and was named the CUSA Offensive Player of the Year with the Aggies in 2023.

Pavia went on to pass for 5,832 yards, 49 touchdowns, 12 interceptions and a 65.7-percent completion rate over two years as a Commodore. In addition to his Heisman recognition, he was named the SEC Offensive Player of the Year and a first-team All-American in 2025.
