Caleb Johnson gives Pat Fizgerald his first four-star commit for Michigan State football’s 2027 recruiting class.
It's massive piece at a key area of need.
Johnson announced via "X" on Saturday, June 13, that he will join the Spartans’ 2027 class. Fitzgerald’s first full recruiting cycle is now up to 14 commitments, with the 6-foot-5, 275-pound interior offensive lineman from Noblesville, Indiana, becoming MSU’s top-rated recruit and its third commitment along the offensive trenches.
Johnson picked the Spartans over finalists Iowa and Indiana, along with offers from a bevy of Power 4 conference programs including UCLA, Purdue, Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri and North Carolina. He is rated the nation’s No. 11 interior lineman and No. 245 player overall according to 247Sports.com’s composite rankings.
Along with Johnson, MSU also has two three-star commitments on the offensive line from Brighton’s Jack Carlson and East Grand Rapids’ Grant Adloff.
