Not many folks outside the SEC like the "mouth of the South," Paul Finebaum, but sometimes he says things that are noteworthy and can be polarizing. In this case, what Finebaum said about Michigan football fans is going to be sweet scarlet and gray music to Ohio State fans, but as sour as vinegar-dipped lemon to Wolverine fans.
We don't need to trace back through the recent history of Michigan football and all of the scandals, show-cause penalties, and arrests, but it's been quite a lot, and even Wolverine fans have a hard time explaining it all away.
But that hasn't stopped Michigan fans from excusing a lot of what has happened, and from beating their chests for winning the 2023 College Football Playoff national championship. Based on all of that, Finebaum had some very harsh words for fans of the maize and blue when he sat down for an interview with Austin's 1300 the Zone at the SEC Kickoff media days.
“Michigan fans, they’re not worth the time. They think college football revolves around them, and they’ve won, I think, 2½ national championships in 70 years, and they cheated to get the last one.”
Paul Finebaum with an all-time shot at Michigan fans:

Ouch. Finebaum, as he usually does, didn't hold back, and we're sure Michigan fans will just cast this aside as an SEC homer being just that. However, a lot of folks outside the SEC and Columbus feel the same way.
