Penn State football continued to build out its 2026 recruiting group on Friday with the addition of three-star running back Amar’e Glover. Glover, a Middletown, Delaware, product, announced on social media that he has committed to the Nittany Lions as a preferred walk-on under Matt Campbell’s new coaching staff.

Glover is rated as the No. 64 running back nationally in the 2026 cycle and the No. 4 prospect from Delaware, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. He comes from the same high school program that produced former Penn State standout and current Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin.

Glover showed steady interest in Penn State throughout the recruiting process, making multiple trips to campus even before the coaching transition. Although he did not receive a scholarship offer, he held several opportunities at the FBS level, including offers from Syracuse, Duke, UConn, Maryland, and Virginia Tech.

Ultimately, Glover elected to join Campbell’s program through a preferred walk-on spot as Penn State continues reshaping its roster for the future.

Glover becomes another developmental piece in Penn State’s 2026 class as the staff continues to add depth and evaluate long-term options at running back. His commitment adds to a growing list of new faces arriving in Happy Valley over the next two recruiting cycles.
