Penn State cornerback, former Tennessee target will transfer

The NCAA transfer portal will take place Jan. 2-16, 2026.
Penn State junior cornerback Elliot Washington II plans to enter the transfer portal, according to Hayes Fawcett of On3.
The 5-foot-11, 201-pound defensive back appeared in 36 games, including one start, at Penn State from 2023-25. He recorded 53 tackles, 1.5 tackles for a loss, nine pass break-ups, two interceptions and 11 pass deflections.
Washington II played for defensive coordinator Jim Knowles in 2025. Knowles is expected to serve as Tennessee’s next defensive coordinator after the Vols parted ways with Tim Banks following five seasons on Monday.
Washington II went to Penn State from Venice High School in Venice, Florida. He committed to Alabama and former head coach Nick Saban on Jan. 31, 2022. Washington II decommitted from the Crimson Tide on July 8, 2022.
Tennessee and head coach Josh Heupel offered the former Penn State cornerback on May 24, 2021.
