We may not know the confirmed status for Penn State running back Kaytron Allen with regard to the upcoming Pinstripe Bowl, but Allen is going to be gearing up to hit the football field at least one more time before the NFL draft. Allen has officially been announced as the newest addition to the roster for the 2026 Senior Bowl.

The Senior Bowl announced Allen has accepted his invitation to participate in the high-profile college football all-star game, which serves as the most anticipated and important post-season activity ahead of the NFL scouting combine for NFL hopefuls. The Senior Bowl has also had invitations to the game accepted by Zane Durant and Dani Dennis-Sutton. It is expected that safety Zakee Wheatley will also be attending the Senior Bowl, but no confirmed announcement has been made at this time.

Allen is coming off a historic season leading Penn State's rushing attack. With 1,303 rushing yards during the regular season, a career-high, Allen became Penn State's all-time leading rusher by surpassing the school record previously held by Evan Royster (3,932 rushing yards). Allen sits on 4,180 career rushing yards and could add on more to that school record if he decides to play in the Pinstripe Bowl next week.

Allen's running back partner, Nicholas Singleton, has already opted out of the Pinstripe Bowl and ends his Penn State career with 3,461 career rushing yards. Singleton ranks fourth on Penn State's all-time rushing yardage leaderboard, just behind Allen, Royster, and Saquon Barkley (3,843 career rushing yards), but Singleton did set a new career rushing touchdown record (45) at Penn State this season, which was previously held by Barkley (43).

Allen received second-Team All-American honors this season and was named a First-Team All-Big Ten running back. The former four-star recruit came to Penn State over offers from Alabama, Tennessee, USC, Georgia, Ohio State, and more.

Penn State will face Clemson in the Pinstripe Bowl on Saturday, December 27.
