Cristiano Rosa, a kickoff specialist from Connecticut, announced Wednesday that he’s transferring from James Madison to Penn State.
The 5-11, 206-pound Rosa, a redshirt junior, has been the kickoff specialist for the Dukes the last two seasons. He hit 90 kickoffs in 2025 with 62 touchbacks and 69 kickoffs with 52 touchbacks in 2024. He also made his only field goal attempt and 3-of-4 PATs that season.
Gabe Nwosu handled kickoff duties for Penn State the last three seasons, but he’s out of eligibility. Ryan Barker and Matthew Parker are the only two kickers left from the 2025 roster. Barker went 18-for-19 on field goal attempts in 2025 and 44-for-45 on PAT tries. He has two years of eligibility left.
In other news, Penn State redshirt freshman cornerback Kenny Woseley announced that he’s transferring to Virginia Tech.
The 5-10, 180-pound Woseley played in every game in 2025 and made his only start in the opener against Nevada. He finished with 10 tackles and one pass breakup.
He became the 10th player from the Nittany Lions’ 2025 roster to transfer to Virginia Tech, where former Penn State coach James Franklin was hired in November.
