After a seemingly long wait, the full Big Ten football schedule was officially unveiled on Tuesday evening. And with that, we now know exactly when Penn State will face its 2026 opponents in conference play.
Penn State will open Big Ten play at home with a game against Wisconsin on Sept. 26. Penn State will then alternate home and away games in Big Ten play for the majority of the season. The exception to that back-and-forth will come in November with back-to-back home games against Minnesota (Nov. 14) and Rutgers (Nov. 21).
The most notable games on the schedule just so happen to be back-to-back as well. Penn State will host USC on Oct. 10 and then travel to Michigan the following week (Oct. 17). The games against the Trojans and Wolverines could potentially be the top obstacles on the schedule. Penn State's West Coast trip at Washington will come on Nov. 7 with no bye week before or after the game.
Penn State will get its bye week in the Big Ten schedule following the Michigan game. The Nittany Lions are home against Purdue after the bye week on Halloween (Oct. 31), leading to the long West Coast trip to Washington.
Michigan and Purdue will each have a bye week before facing Penn State this season.
