Pennridge enjoyed a football season to remember in 2025.
The Rams won the Suburban One League National Conference title for the first time since the COVID-shortened 2020 season and reached the PIAA District One championship game for the second time in school history (also ’20).
They set a school record with 13 wins, defeating North Penn for the first time since 2012 in the regular season before falling to the Knights for the District One Class 6A title.
Until this fall, Pennridge hadn’t beaten North Penn and Neshaminy, which wasn’t always in its league or conference, in the same season since 1969. The Rams had faced both schools in 23 of the years during that span.
The 13-2 Rams, who were coming off of four consecutive losing seasons, relied on a strong senior class, including four-year starting quarterback Noah Keating and two-way standout Ryan Rowe. They also had stellar offensive and defensive lines and some playmakers on both sides of the ball.
For his role in Pennridge’s success, third-year head coach Kyle Beller is the Courier Times/Intell Football Coach of the Year.
“Honestly, I don’t think (what we accomplished) has sunk in yet,” said Beller, who was the head coach at alma mater (Allentown) Dieruff from 2012-18. “I am just so proud and honored that I had the privilege to coach this team and I got to watch them play for 15 weeks because this group is special.”
As for Beller, his players say he provided leadership and stability, among numerous other things.
“Coach Beller really helped bond our guys together this year and created the ‘brotherhood’ atmosphere that we played with this season,” said Rowe, a Princeton commit. “The overall team improvement from the last two years to this one is amazing all around, but it ultimately starts with him. I am very grateful for the opportunity I had to play for him.”
“He leads by example, and he takes accountability for his actions,” said Rams senior two-way lineman Ian Gallagher. “Every week he holds his players to a higher and higher standard.”
Also the Rams’ defensive coordinator, Beller praised his staff, including special teams coach Dave Cressman and Jeff Hollenbach, who he said, “is second to none running the offense.”
