Picking every Big Ten game in college football Week 3

Week 3 of the college football season is officially here! And in the Big Ten, that means that start of conference play, including USC’s trip to Rutgers.

So what can we expect to see in the conference this week? Here are my Big Ten picks for Week 3:

Ohio State over Kent State

Ohio State will be looking to take out its anger after last week’s collapse.

Penn State over Buffalo

Like USC, Penn State finishes nonconference play 3-0 without facing anyone of note.

Minnesota over Akron

Surely it cannot get any worse for Minnesota than last week, right? Right?

Wisconsin over Eastern Michigan

Wisconsin might not win very many games this year, but the Badgers at least win this one.

USC over Rutgers

The Trojans win the first Big Ten game of the 2026 season.

Michigan over UTEP

Which Michigan team will show up this week—the one that beat Oklahoma, or the one that, for all intents and purposes, lost to Western Michigan?

Indiana over Western Kentucky

Thoughts and prayers go out to Western Kentucky, which follows up last week’s game against Georgia with a trip to take on the defending national champions.

Notre Dame over Michigan State

At least one Big Ten team gets to play its rivalry game against Notre Dame this season. Must be nice.

Colorado over Northwestern

Coach Prime gets a prime time win in Chicago.

Virginia Tech over Maryland

James Franklin gets a Big Ten win before Penn State does. How about that.

UCLA over Purdue

UCLA matches its win total from all of last year just three weeks into the season.
