misdreavus79: Here’s something neat: James Franklin’s first loss at Penn State was to Northwestern. His last loss was… to Northwestern. James Franklin’s first season as head coach ended with a 7-6 record and a win in the Pinstripe Bowl. If Penn State wins tomorrow, his tenure will end with a 7-6 record and a win in the Pinstripe Bowl.

Things have a way of coming full circle sometimes.

As for the game, it’s easier to just give you BSD’s running opt-out list, lol. I expect it’ll be like the Peach Bowl a few years ago, where the opt-out list is much bigger, but it’s going to be in the form of “these guys will play for a quarter, these other guys will play for a half, the rest will play for a series or two.”

The young guys of course will play to serve as an audition for their next coach, whether that’s Matt Campbell or someone else.
