The 2026 football season for the Auburn Tigers is on the horizon. As we anticipate the start of the season, let's introduce you to a key member of the 2026 roster.
A lot is expected of Auburn defensive lineman Cody Sigler. The 2026 season will be his first as an Auburn player after spending last season with Arkansas State out of the Sun Belt Conference.
Last season for the Red Wolves, Sigler had 35 total tackles and five sacks on the season. He also had seven tackles for loss and was named second-team All-Sun Belt Conference. His best game of the season was in the XBOX Bowl versus Missouri State. Sigler had six total tackles and 1.5 sacks in the 34-30 win for the Red Wolves. Prior to the 2025 season, he played three seasons at West Alabama and in 2024 had six sacks and 12 tackles for loss.
As a transfer, Sigler was rated as a four-star player and the No. 15 available defensive lineman before signing with Auburn. As a high school recruit, he did not even have a rating according to 247Sports when he signed with West Alabama. He played high school football at New Hope High School and was part of the 2022 recruiting class.
