The bad is getting worse for now-former Michigan football head coach Sherrone Moore.

Moore was fired by the Wolverines, for cause, on Wednesday for an inappropriate relationship with a staff member, thrusting Michigan into a coaching search in the middle of December. Now, it appears there's more afoot.

According to ESPN's Dan Wetzel, Moore has been detained by police in neighboring Saline, and was turned over to the Pittsfield Township police with potential criminal charges on the way. There is no more public information as to why he is being arrested at the moment.

Moore just finished out his second year at the helm of the Wolverines, having gone 9-3 in the regular season and was expected to coach in the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl against Texas. Biff Poggi has been named acting head coach for the postseason.
