Alexander McPherson is a three-star prospect out of IMG Academy in Florida. McPherson originally committed to Colorado and played for the Buffaloes for one season before entering the transfer portal and ending up at Penn State in the offseason in 2026.

Career Stats

McPherson has played one season of college football, with Colorado. As a true freshman in 2025, McPherson played in 10 games for Colorado and he recorded 16 tackles and blocked a punt.

Depth Chart Overview

Newcomer Alexander McPherson provides some immediate depth at a needed position at defensive end. He likely will not be a starting candidate this season with the return of Max Granville and some experienced transfers coming in to plug some holes, but we will keep an eye out for the sophomore as a top backup candidate who gets some reps on the field at times.
