Jim Fitzgerald joined the Penn State football program as a walk-on player under former head coach James Franklin in the Class of 2022. Fitzgerald picked a walk-on opportunity at Penn State over Maryland, UConn, and Virginia. Fitzgerald enrolled at Penn State in the summer of 2022.

Career Stats

Jim Fitzgerald appeared in one game for Penn State during the 2025 season. He also appeared in two games as a true freshman in 2022, but he did not make an appearance in any games during the 2023 or 2024 seasons.

After playing as a deep reserve for the entirety of his time at Penn State, it appears it will be more of that role in 2026 season for Jim Fitzgerald.
