The Wisconsin Badgers football program made a ton of notable moves this offseason, but that doesn't always translate to wins.

According to Pro Football Network's CFB Playoff Predictor, head coach Luke Fickell is projected to miss the playoffs for the third straight season.

As part of the simulation, Wisconsin finished 17th in the Big Ten standings. Remember, there are only 18 teams in the conference. Only Nebraska (4-8, 2-7) finished worse than the Badgers (5-7, 3-6).

There's no doubt finishing with a losing record would be a huge step in the wrong direction, especially with how easy, on paper, Wisconsin's schedule looks this season.

With a 3-6 conference record, they're put in the same category as Purdue, UCLA, and Iowa.

Again, this is just a predictor, so Badgers fans should take it with a grain of salt. That said, PFN built this using "a model built on team power ratings, strength of schedule, and game-by-game simulation."
