Purdue football's latest transfer portal addition from Georgia is most intriguing because of his pre-SEC experience.

Edge rusher Elo Modozie committed to the Boilermakers on Monday, per On3. He became the second edge player added in this cycle, joining Virginia Tech's Keyshawn Burgos.

Modozie has one season of eligibility remaining. He played in all 14 games as a reserve outside linebacker for the Bulldogs last season. He recorded seven tackles.

In 2024, Modozie was a big part of Army's succcess in a 12-win season. His 34 tackles included eight for loss and 6.5 sacks. He recorded one sack apiece in the AAC championship game against Tulane, against Navy in their annual rivalry game, and in an Independence Bowl victory over Louisiana Tech. He was a third-team All-American Athletic Conference selection.

Purdue needed portal help at edge rusher after one of last season's most successful pickups, CJ Nunnally IV, completed his eligibility. It also returns three others who started games last season: Breeon Ishmail, CJ Madden and Trey Smith.
