Millard South, Nebraska, quarterback Jett Thomalla has been selected as the ALL‑USA Midwest Football Team Offensive Player of the Year, capping one of the most prolific careers in Nebraska high school history.
Thomalla delivered a dominant senior season, completing 193 of 266 passes for 3,484 yards and 58 touchdowns against just five interceptions. He led the Patriots to an 11‑1 record (its loss was a forfeit of a game it won to start the season) and a Class A state championship, tying single‑game state records with seven touchdown passes in both the semifinals and finals. His efficiency and command of the offense powered a unit that averaged nearly 40 points per game during its postseason run.
Over four varsity seasons, Thomalla rewrote the state record book. He finished his career with 10,253 passing yards and 134 touchdown passes while completing 648 of 974 attempts at a .665 clip. He added 252 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns, contributing 10,511 total yards—an average of 262.8 per game across 40 contests.
A unanimous four‑star recruit and the top-ranked player in Nebraska, Thomalla signed with Alabama, choosing the Crimson Tide over a long list of Power Four offers. He enters college as one of the nation’s most decorated prep quarterbacks, ranked as high as No. 57 nationally and among the top 10 quarterbacks in the 2026 class.
Along with the other players selected to the ALL-USA Midwest Football Team, Thomalla is a finalist for the national ALL-USA Football Team, which will be announced at the end of December.
The Midwest region includes athletes from Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.
