Davis High School quarterback Tradon Bessinger has been named the offensive captain of the ALL‑USA West Football Team, capping one of the most prolific careers in Utah high school history.

Bessinger’s senior season was nothing short of spectacular. The 6-foot-5 signal caller completed 333 of 438 passes for 4,313 yards and 53 touchdowns against just four interceptions. He added 173 rushing yards and two scores, guiding Davis to a 10–2 record and a berth in the 6A quarterfinals. His command of the Darts’ spread attack, paired with elite accuracy and poise, made him one of the most feared offensive players in the west.

Across his three-year varsity career, Bessinger finished with 10,908 passing yards, 127 touchdowns and a 69.7 percent completion rate over 36 games. His consistency was unmatched as he topped 3,600 passing yards in both his junior and senior seasons and never threw more than 12 interceptions in a year. Add in 395 career rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns and Bessinger exits as one of the most productive quarterbacks the state has seen.

Recruiting attention followed accordingly. After fielding more than a dozen offers, Bessinger signed with Iowa on December 3. With his blend of size, arm talent and experience, he is widely viewed as an ascending prospect with the tools to compete early in the Big Ten.

Along with the other players selected to the ALL-USA West Football Team, Bessinger is a finalist for the national ALL-USA Football Team, which will be announced on Dec. 30.

The West region includes athletes from Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
