Ranking Georgia football's incoming transfers from best to worst

The Georgia Bulldogs have the No. 31 transfer portal class in the country. Georgia‘s nine commitments are the fourth-fewest (tied) in all of Power Four. No SEC has fewer incoming transfer than Georgia.

The Bulldogs are bringing in two four-star transfers and seven three-star transfers. Georgia’s top portal additions are Georgia Tech wide receiver Isiah Canion and Auburn edge rusher Amaris Williams. Both Canion and Williams are ranked among the country’s top 40 transfers. However, they are Georgia’s only two incoming transfers that are ranked among the top-250.

The rest of Georgia’s transfer class appears to be aimed at solidifying depth at a few key positions. The Bulldogs added Oregon quarterback Bryson Beavers, Kentucky running back Dante Dowdell and Alabama A&M offensive tackle TyQuez Richardson via the transfer portal to solidify the offensive depth. Defensively, Georgia added Oklahoma cornerback Gentry Williams, ECU safety Ja’Marley Riddle, Clemson safety Khalil Barnes and USC cornerback Braylon Conley in a concerted effort to improve secondary depth.
