Beware of the rat poison. They are all over the SEC Week 4 betting lines and in our predictions. Sure, it looks yummy. But all that praise can lead to an unexpected loss. A big source of danger is in Mississippi. Both SEC programs in the Magnolia State had big wins on Saturday, putting them at the center of the hype train. Ole Miss triumphed against their ex and “Super” Kamario Taylor led a big-time comeback on the road in Columbia. So, enjoy the win. But the 24 hours are over. It’s time to look into the SEC Week 4 slate.

Rat Poison Saturday: SEC Week 4 Betting Lines
College Gameday is heading to Knoxville on Saturday. This is the fourth straight SEC stadium the college football flagship will visit. We are not complaining; we love the SEC passion being featured. We do have questions about what becomes of the SEC Network’s SEC Nation if this trend continues. Look, plenty of SEC teams are featured, and we are sure Bristol can cover it adequately. We do have to wonder, though, if something is missed if the SEC keeps getting featured on Gameday. What makes Gameday special goes beyond any conference, including the SEC. So we will take it; we wouldn’t mind seeing the love spread across the country.

SEC Week 4 Predictions
Our only loss last week came from NC State’s Dave Doren. Doren has been at NC State for 14 years. He has never been great, but has also avoided being terrible. Last Saturday was just embarrassing. They needed a safety to secure a late win over Vanderbilt. CJ Bailey goes down; NC State escapes by one. Instead, Bailey bobs and weaves and fumbles, enabling Vandy to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.
Week 3 Picks: 4-1

- No. 1 Texas at No. 14 Tennessee
Just when I thought I got him to fall in love with Tennessee, I shoulda known better than to take him back to Austin. Sure, we adjusted the lyrics to Choosin’ Texas, but the shoe fits this weekend as the Longhorns head to Knoxville. We are with Uncle Peyton on this one. Texas makes a statement on the road.
Pick: Texas - Oklahoma at No. 2 Georgia
Georgia didn’t get enough work against Arkansas in Fayetteville, so the defensive lineman had to do drills during the commercial break. Oklahoma’s offense looks like a mess under Ben Arbuckle and John Mateer. The Dawgs are probably not the best medicine to find the remedy.
Pick: Georgia - No. 4 Ole Miss at No. 21 Florida
Kewan Lacy went down with an upper body injury on Saturday night. That put the ball in Trinidad Chambliss’s hands, and it worked well on Saturday night. Having Lacy out for an extended period will add a stressor to the Rebel offense. The Swamp has been a tough place for opponents; Ole Miss lost the game (and a playoff spot) as a heavy favorite two years ago. The Gators have plenty of punch under Jon Sumrall. Look for Jadan Baugh and his big-play ability to be the difference for Florida.
Pick: Florida - No. 23 Texas A&M at No. 10 LSU
Hello darkness, my old friend. It looks like the Aggies are bound for 8-4 again. Ok, we are not Simon and Garfuckle, but that was a bad look in College Station in their loss to Kentucky. A&M is just 1-4 against P4 opponents since Elko signed his extension. Lane Kiffin and LSU will have a chip on their shoulder after dropping the game to Ole Miss. Look for a statement at Tiger Stadium.
Pick: LSU - No. 19 Missouri at No. 24 Mississippi State
We told you last week: do not sleep on Taylor and Hail State. After spotting USC a 16-0 lead, Taylor and company outscored the Gamecocks 41-7. Missouri will pose a new test, but this again should be one of the highlight games of the SEC Week 4 slate. Look for the Taylor magic to continue.
