Ray J celebrates 10th anniversary with Princess Love, says ‘I don’t wanna get a divorce’

The singer shared an emotional social media tribute to Princess Love a decade after their wedding, reflecting on their turbulent marriage, multiple divorce filings and the family they’ve built together.
After years of very public highs, lows, reconciliations and divorce filings, Ray J is signaling that he still believes there’s hope for his marriage to Princess Love.
The singer and reality television star celebrated what would have been the couple’s 10th wedding anniversary Wednesday with a lengthy Instagram tribute to his estranged wife, insisting that despite everything they’ve endured, their bond remains intact.
“#happyanniversary Prinky. 10 years later, after everything we’ve been through, somehow it all still comes back to love,” Ray J wrote. “No matter what happened, what was said, what people saw or what anybody thinks they know about us, we know what’s real.”
He continued, “Through the good times and the hard ones, we’ve stayed connected and I think somewhere along the way we learned how to love each other without conditions.”
Ray J went on to thank Princess Love for their friendship and the family they’ve built together before making one final plea.
“I told you I don’t wanna get a divorce! We will get it right. Happy 10 years.”
The post comes more than two years after Princess Love filed for divorce for the fourth time in February 2024, describing the decision as the result of “much reflection, discussion and counseling.” While the pair have repeatedly called off previous divorce proceedings, the latest filing marked another chapter in one of reality TV’s most talked-about on-again, off-again relationships.
Ray J and Princess Love married in August 2016 after several years of dating. Their relationship became a central storyline on “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood,” where viewers watched the couple navigate everything from lavish milestones to explosive arguments. They later chronicled their attempts to repair their marriage on “VH1 Family Reunion: Love & Hip Hop Edition.”
The couple share two children: daughter Melody Love, 8, and son Epik Ray, 6. Despite their marital struggles, both have consistently emphasized co-parenting and maintaining a close relationship for their children.
Their relationship has rarely stayed out of the headlines. Princess Love first filed for divorce in 2020 before dismissing the petition. Ray J later filed for divorce himself, only to dismiss it as well. Additional filings followed before Princess Love’s fourth divorce petition in 2024. Throughout the years, the pair have repeatedly reconciled, with Ray J often expressing his desire to save the marriage.
The family also faced significant challenges over the past year. In late 2025, Ray J was arrested following an alleged domestic incident involving Princess Love, and the pair later appeared in court as legal proceedings unfolded. Earlier this year, Ray J also revealed he had been dealing with serious health issues, prompting renewed public attention on the family.
Whether Ray J’s anniversary message marks another reconciliation or simply reflects appreciation for the mother of his children remains to be seen. But if his latest post is any indication, the singer hasn’t given up on the possibility that, after a decade together, there’s still another chapter left to write.
