Mar. 13—ROCHESTER — Rochester Community and Technical College (RCTC) has tabbed Jeremy Richardson as the new head football coach, the school announced Friday.
Richardson, a native of Bloomington, Ill., takes over for Terrence Isaac Sr., who stepped down in early February after four seasons to coach at Division II Wayne State University in Detroit.
"Jeremy Richardson is a proven leader who understands the mission of two-year college athletics," said RCTC Athletic Director Mike Lester in a press release. "He has demonstrated success developing student-athletes on and off the field, building competitive programs, helping student-athletes move on to the four-year level, and fostering a culture of accountability and integrity. We are excited to welcome Jeremy to Rochester and the Yellowjacket community."
Richardson previously served as the head coach at Joliet Junior College, where his teams won Graphic Edge Bowl championships in 2007 and 2009. He later led programs at Northland Community & Technical College and Erie Community College, while also serving as an assistant coach and in leadership roles at Garden City Community College, Texas College, and North American University. In addition to his head coaching experience, Richardson served as Assistant Athletic Director at Trinity Valley Community College.
"I am extremely honored to be named head football coach at Rochester Community and Technical College," Richardson said. "RCTC has a strong tradition, committed leadership, and a clear vision for student-athlete success. I'm excited to get to work building relationships, recruiting high-character young men, and competing at a championship level while preparing our players for life beyond football."
