According to Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett, a prospect who recently decommitted from the Alabama Crimson Tide has now made a commitment decision.

That prospect is Alexander Ward, who announced a commitment to the Colorado Buffaloes on Tuesday morning. A member of the 2027 recruiting class, Ward previously announced a decommitment from Alabama back in October, which he had previously been committed to since Nov. 2024.

According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Ward is considered as the nation’s No. 285 overall player in the 2027 class, as well as the No. 14 athlete nationally. A four-star recruit, Ward is also considered the No. 27 overall prospect in the state of Florida where he attends national power IMG Academy.

Alabama’s 2027 class currently ranks No. 9 nationally, per 247Sports, with four commitments. Of those four, three come from the state of Alabama, while one is from Georgia.
