Recruiting Roundup: Massive Wave Of Visitors Are Heading To Montlake Today

Happy Sunday Husky fans. The Huskies kick off their 2026 season this season and the Apple Cup is set to see a massive wave of visitors on campus this weekend. Most of the 2027 class will head to campus this weekend. With the majority of the 2027 class already on board the Huskies have their eyes set on the 2028 class. Here is a look at some of the 2028 visitors on this class (who will visit unofficially):
Probably the biggest name on campus is 5 star edge Jalanie George from Desert Edge HS, AZ. George, who is rated as the 2nd best edge in the country by On3. George, who is listed at 6’5” and around 240 pounds, is one of the top targets for the Huskies in the 2028 class and the Huskies are doing very well with him. The Huskies have his teammates Zerek Sidney and Blake Roskopf committed in the 2027 class and appear to be one of the favorites to land George. Lat season George had 16 TFL’s and 6.5 sacks.
George will be joined by his 4 star teammate Nekhi Lambeth, who is rated as the 15th best cornerback in the country (via the composite rankings). Lambeth, who is listed at 6’0” and around 170 pounds holds offers from around the country and was offered by UW in May. The Huskies have continued to push for top talent in Arizona and Lambeth is one of the top defensive backs in Arizona and he will be a player to watch this season for the Huskies.
From Hawaii the Huskies are going to see one of their top 2028 quarterback targets head to campus. 4 star quarterback Hunter Fujikawa from Mililani HS will head to the mainland to check out Montlake. Rated as the 18th best quarterback via the composite rankings, Fujikawa holds offers from around the country but he is looking heavily at Arizona, ASU, Ole Miss, UCLA, and UW. Fujikawa is listed at 6’2” and around 200 pounds and the Huskies are pushing hard to see if they can land the talented signal caller.
From Michigan the Huskies are bringing in 5 star offensive tackle Antijuan Wilkes from Cass Technical HS, his teammate 3 star wide receiver Mylan Griggs. Also on campus is 3 star athlete Tyler Trusel from Brother Rice HS and 3 star interior offensive lineman Jordan Henry from Martin Luther King HS, MI. The Huskies are starting to spread their recruiting net further and further around the country and it’s an impressive list of visitors heading from the midwest, especially seeing Wilkes head to campus (he’s the top rated prospect in Michigan).
From Georgia the Huskies are seeing 2 of their top defensive line targets head to campus in 3 star defensive lineman Tory Clark from Woodward Academy and Isaac Kalubi Lukuni. Both players are high end 3 star recruits and hold offers from around the country including home state school Georgia. The Huskies have been making connections in the Peach State and are hoping it pays off in the 2028 class.
Locally the Huskies are seeing 4 star tight end Tytan McNeal from Eastside Catholic and his teammate 4 star defensive lineman Aedyn Havili, both top targets for the Huskies and the top 2 rated players in-state. The Huskies have done very well recently in-state and are hoping they can continue that trend in the 2028 class. Also on campus is 3 star offensive lineman Kyler Harden from O’Dea HS, 3 star athlete Kaicen Carter from Federal Way HS, and 3 star quarterback AJ Tuivaiave from Graham-Kapowsin HS.
From Oregon the Huskies are also bringing in the top 2028 class in 4 star tight end Presley Delance from Lake Oswego HS. The Huskies are battling Oregon for both McNeal and Delance and it will be interesting to see which player ends where (the battle for Delance seems like a local battle between the rivals while McNeal is looking at both local schools and some national powers as well).
From Idaho the Huskies are seeing the top 2028 prospect head to campus as well. 4 star composite wide receiver Quincey Clay from Capital HS already holds offers from Minnesota, Utah, and Boise State. The Huskies haven’t had a lot of recent success in the state of Idaho recently but they have targeted Clay and are firmly in the mix for him in the 2028 class.
It’s always good to get top players onto campus and this weekend should pay dividends for the Huskies for the Huskies both short term and long term. The Huskies are definitely on the upwards trajectory in college football and on the recruiting front. That is all for today and as always follow me @asieverkropp.
