Recruiting Roundup: Some Top 2028 Targets Were On Montlake To Check Out the EWU Game

Happy Sunday Husky fans. Yesterday’s game, albeit against an FCS school, was a good step in the right direction for the Huskies. It was also another chance to bring some top targets in the 2028 class onto campus and here is a look at some of the recruits who made their way onto campus:

3 star quarterback JJ Howard from Clovis West HS, CA headed to Montlake to check out the Dawgs and see the offense in person. Rated as the 27th best QB in the country by the composite rankings, Howard has an ideal frame and has the tools to be a solid college QB. So far through 3 games he has completed close 56 balls on 94 attempts and thrown for 11 touchdowns (948 total yards and 4 int’s). The Huskies are battling Oregon, Michigan, Kentucky, and several other schools for Howard who is likely going to wait a little while to sort through his options.

3 star tight end Steeler Wesley from Skyridge HS, UT was also on campus this weekend. The Huskies recruited his brother Kai Wesley, who ultimately ended up at Baylor, but have heavily recruiting the younger Wesley to see if they can bring him to Montlake. Listed at 6’5” and around 210 pounds, Steeler holds offers from around the country including BYU, Baylor, Michigan, and Oregon. He is one the top tight ends on the west coast in the 2028 class and is currently ranked as the 25th best tight end nationally via composite rankings.

Another interesting prospect who made their way to Montlake was linebacker Keith Williams from Manvel HS, TX. Williams, who has seen his recruiting stock soar recently, has picked up offers from Baylor, FSU, Houston, Miami, and UW recently. Listed at 6’0” and around 207 pounds he isn’t the biggest linebacker but he has shown to be productive and has schools intrigued. So far through 3 games he has 14 total tackles, 2 sacks, and 2 TFL’s. Williams is not currently ranked by any of the recruiting services.

3 star wide receiver Noah Bozeman from John Muir HS, CA was also on campus this weekend for the EWU game. Bozeman who is listed at 6’1” and around 195 pounds, is an intriguing wide receiver in the 2028 class who has racked up offers from ASU, Cal, North Carolina, Ole Miss, Oregon, UCLA, and UW. Last season he had 33 receptions for 580 yards and 7 touchdowns (he also plays defensive back). Bozeman is currently ranked as the 60th best wideout in the country via the composite rankings and is another player to monitor in the 2028 class.
