Report: LSU coach Lane Kiffin may attend Ole Miss' Sugar Bowl vs UGA

LSU football coach Lane Kiffin and Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry may attend the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans on New Year's Day, according to a report from Yahoo Sports' Ross Dellenger.

"Lane Kiffin, the former Ole Miss coach now at LSU, may attend the Sugar Bowl along with someone else: Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry. Reached on Tuesday, officials at LSU and those with Landry did not dispute that the duo is at least considering attending the game, and security plans are being made for their arrival, those with knowledge told Yahoo Sports," Dellnger wrote.

Despite Ole Miss being 12-1 and coming off its first CFP win in program history, Kiffin is still dominating the headlines. The coach made an unprecedented move when he left Ole Miss for LSU after the regular season. Kiffin wanted to coach the playoff, but he and Ole Miss AD Keith Carter could not reach a resolution. Shortly after Kiffin departed for Baton Rouge, Ole Miss promoted DC Pete Golding to head coach.

Several Ole Miss assistants are working two jobs right now. Kiffin brought a handful of his offensive staff to LSU, but the group is finishing out the year with Ole Miss. Charlie Weis, LSU's next offensive coordinator, is still calling plays for the Rebels.

Dellenger's story mentions tampering has been a concern with LSU's coaches in the Ole Miss building.

The drama surrounding Kiffin, LSU, and Ole Miss has been college football's best reality show for over a month. The series could continue with Kiffin and Landry's potential Sugar Bowl appearance.
