It seems like every day that there’s more factors coming into the Notre Dame vs. College Football Playoff drama, and it took a big turn on Thursday morning after more action on Wednesday.

Yahoo Sports Dan Wolken is reporting that multiple leagues are “threatening to freeze Notre Dame out of future schedules,” and this could make things very interesting going forward for the Irish. We already know that the SEC is pushing its teams to schedule Notre Dame, and the partnership with the ACC is still there, despite some in-house issues with the leaders.

Wolken mentioned that Notre Dame athletic director’s Pete Bevacqua’s “press tour not going over well across college sport” could be a reason why these teams are thinking about icing the Irish out. Another part of this potential decision is that the Irish have been told by the committee that if they are inside the top-12 of the rankings, they’ll get an “auto bid” into the field.

It will be interesting to see if this picks up some steam, and who Notre Dame could react to it if Wolken’s report is true. College football is absolutely wild at the moment, and it doesn’t look like it’s slowing down anytime soon.
