BYU was busy in the transfer portal on Monday, adding three offensive linemen to its 2026 roster, but the Cougars weren’t done there.
Cal linebacker Cade Uluave, who is ranked as the top linebacker in the transfer portal by 247Sports, has transferred to BYU, according to a report from CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz.

Uluave totaled 97 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, three sacks and four pass deflections for Cal in 2025. He was named to the All-ACC first team.
Uluave, a South Jordan native that starred for Mountain Ridge High, will be returning home for his senior season.
With star linebacker Jack Kelly headed to the NFL draft, Uluave will immediately be in competition for a starting job with Isaiah Glasker and Siale Esera, who are both returning to Provo in 2026.
