Rivals grades Florida's 2027 recruiting class as OV season looms

As official visit season heats up for college football programs around the country, On3/Rivals graded the Florida Gators‘ 2027 recruiting class. New head coach Jon Sumrall and the program were applauded for their rapid national ascension as the team rides a wave of momentum, carrying them as high as No. 4 in ESPN’s recruiting rankings.

The Gators’ offensive line haul is emphasized as the biggest strength of this class for Florida. The unit is led by five-star offensive tackle Maxwell Hiller, top-ranked center Peyton Miller and four-star offensive tackle Elijah Hutchenson.

Sumrall has crafted a recruiting blueprint that prioritizes the trenches. Strength along the line of scrimmage is crucial if the Gators want to return to viability in the SEC, a conference that boasts elite up front. Four-star running back Andrew Beard and quarterback Davin Davidson are also mentioned as foundational pieces for the Orange and Blue as the program stacks coveted talent on the edge and behind center.
