Rutgers football shows spark with fake punt that leads to TD vs. No. 11 USC

PISCATAWAY − Rutgers football just used a fake punt to show some life against No. 11 USC.

The Scarlet Knights had fourth-and-21 at their own 16 and faked a punt, with punter Jakob Anderson, at the goal line, throwing a 40-yard pass to Jesse Ofurie for a first down at the USC 44.

The Scarlet Knights' offense moved the ball with the help of a Dylan Lonergan 15-yard pass to Antwan Raymond and a 13-yard pass to KJ Duff that got the ball down to the USC 16.

Lonergan then hit Elias Coke for a touchdown that cut Rutgers' deficit to 17-14 with 1:25 to go in the first half.
