COLLEGE PARK, Maryland – Rutgers football has reached an absolutely critical part of the season.
The Scarlet Knights have dropped four of their first five games in stunningly disappointing fashion. They’re struggling in multiple areas, particularly on defense.
Yet today offers a chance to get back moving in the right direction.
The team Rutgers is facing, though, is likely thinking the exact same way.
The Scarlet Knights today will play Maryland at SECU Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 12:30 p.m.
Like Rutgers, the Terrapins have also struggled, getting off to a 2-4 start that included multiple blowout losses.
Maryland coach Mike Locksley last week called this a “winnable game” for his team. It’ll also be played during the school’s Homecoming Weekend.
Can the Scarlet Knights pull off a badly needed victory? Or with this season continue to spiral?
Follow along here for updates.
