Rutgers has prioritized the defensive edge in the 2027 recruiting class and just landed another big commit from Georgia.
Three-star defensive lineman Dallas Ward announced that he has committed to Rutgers. He made his decision official on Tuesday night.
Ward received an offer from Greg Schiano and the Scarlet Knights on March 30. He would take his official visit nearly two months later. Ward was getting plenty of attention within the Big Ten as he visited both Minnesota and Michigan State over the last two weeks.
Aside from Big Ten contenders, Ward held offers from the likes of Cincinnati, Navy, South Florida, and Harvard.
The McIntosh High School product is currently a three-star prospect ranked as the No. 100 player in Georgia and No. 97 defensive lineman in the nation.
Ward is now the fourth defensive lineman recruited in the 2027 class. He is also the second commit from Georgia, joining safety Dextavion Reese.
