Rutgers Great & Fan Favorite Joins Coaching Staff

A Rutgers fan favorite is back in Piscataway.

Legendary Scarlet Knights punter Adam Korsak has joined Rutgers Football coaching staff as a Quality Control/Player Development assistant, according to a report from Brian Fonseca of NJ.com. According to an employment contract obtained by the publication, Korsak joined the staff at the end of the 2025 season.

The hire became official in November 2025 but was not announced by the program. He is signed through 2027 and will make $120,000 this season.

In the football world, it is hard to get excited when your team is forced to punt but the Melbourne native put on a show for fans each time he stepped on the field.

Korsak won the Ray Guy Award in 2022, given to the nation’s top punter. He was also named First Team All-American by the Sporting News and Third Team All-America by Phil Steele. Korsak ended his career at Rutgers as a five-time All-Big Ten selection.

Korsak currently holds the NCAA record for career punts at 349 and career punting yards with 15,318. For Rutgers fans, it will be exciting to see Korsak back around the team on game days.
