The sighting comes days after Michelle Obama told Megan that her personality reminds her of Sasha.

Sasha Obama and Megan Thee Stallion appear to be spending part of the summer in the same orbit, with a reported Martha’s Vineyard sighting putting the former first daughter and Grammy-winning rapper in the spotlight.

Page Six reported Monday, Aug. 17, that Obama and Megan Thee Stallion were spotted together at Sand Bar & Grille on Martha’s Vineyard. A source quoted by the outlet described the two women as “looking like besties,” although neither has publicly characterized their relationship that way.

The sighting comes shortly after Megan appeared on Michelle Obama’s “IMO” podcast. During the Aug. 12 episode, the former first lady told the rapper that her personality reminded her of Sasha, noting similarities in their energy and attitude.

That connection has now added another layer to the reported Martha’s Vineyard encounter. Page Six specifically linked Michelle Obama’s recent comments about the pair’s personalities with the reported sighting of Sasha and Megan on the island.

Sasha, 25, has generally maintained a considerably lower public profile than her parents since leaving the White House. Megan, meanwhile, has remained one of music’s biggest stars while balancing her recording career, performances and growing presence in entertainment.

The Obamas are also spending time on Martha’s Vineyard. According to Page Six, Barack Obama was spotted golfing at Farm Neck Golf Club with Charles Phillips, while other high-profile figures, including Spike Lee, Dave Chappelle and D-Nice, have also been seen around the island.

The island’s summer social scene has continued to attract celebrities and cultural figures, making chance encounters among recognizable names relatively common.
