SB Nation Reacts Survey: Miami selected as favorite to win ACC

Last week, we asked readers who you thought was the favorite to win the ACC title during the 2026 college football season. Well, the results are in, and they are not very surprising to say the least.

All of you selected Miami as the favorite to win the ACC Championship this winter. Perhaps more interesting, though, is the fact that the field was in distant second.

Full disclosure: I can’t personally think of anybody in the field that could win the title, but it wouldn’t surprise me if that happened. Miami has had a long, bizarre history of doing really well in the first part of the season before ultimately flaming out near the end. Last year was the obvious exception after they made it all the way to the CFP championship game and lost to Indiana.

The overwhelming likelihood is that the Hurricanes find a way to pull it off, and according to FanDuel Sportsbook, Las Vegas agrees with that sentiment. But let’s remember: despite being the best team in the conference last season, Duke won the conference title somehow. Still, how likely is it that Clemson, Louisville, SMU, or Pitt win it? According to readers, not very likely at all. It’ll be an interesting season to say the least. It’ll be even more interesting if UNC found a way to play spoiler and sneak their way to Charlotte, but there’s probably a higher chance of Boston College winning March Madness. Is that brutal? Yes. Is it a lie? Probably not.
