Sean “Diddy” Combs was reportedly transported by ambulance from FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey on Oct. 10 and returned to the facility hours later.

Sean “Diddy” Combs was taken from federal prison for medical treatment after reportedly suffering a head injury, according to TMZ. The music mogul was transported from the Federal Correctional Institution at Fort Dix, New Jersey, early Saturday, Oct. 10, and was reportedly back at the facility before sunrise.

TMZ reported on Oct. 12 that sources at the prison said an ambulance left the grounds at approximately 1 a.m. The outlet reported that Combs was conscious and speaking when he returned to the prison. The cause of the injury has not been established publicly, and TMZ said it had not independently confirmed which hospital he may have visited.

Following the reports, Combs’ representative, Juda Engelmayer, told People that his team was working to confirm what happened. “We are aware of the reports concerning Sean Combs and are working to confirm the circumstances,” the representative said. “Sean’s health and well-being are our immediate concern, and we appreciate everyone who has reached out.”

The Bureau of Prisons did not publicly confirm the reported medical incident. A spokesperson for FCI Fort Dix told Us Weekly that the facility does not comment on individual incarcerated people’s medical status for privacy, safety, and security reasons.

Recent reports have also described allegations of special privileges and contraband inside the facility, as well as his reported placement in the prison’s Special Housing Unit. Combs’ representative previously disputed portrayals of his prison conditions as unusually privileged. As of the latest reports, the circumstances of Combs’ head injury remain unknown. No public information has established how it occurred.
