SEC football fastest players ranked for 2026 season

The 2026 college football season will kick off Sept. 3 for SEC schools.

The first contest featuring a league school will be Missouri hosting Arkansas-Pine Bluff at Memorial Stadium in Columbia, Missouri (8 p.m. EDT, SEC Network).

Tennessee will kick off its 2026 football campaign Sept. 5 versus Furman at Neyland Stadium. The Vols’ season opener is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. EDT and can be watched on SEC Network+.

Week 1 SEC games will conclude with Ole Miss versus Louisville on Sept. 6. Kickoff between the Rebels and Cardinals is slated for 7:30 p.m. EDT at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee (ABC).

Ahead of the season kicking off, “EA Sports College Football 27″ will launch worldwide Thursday for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Early access started July 2 for MVP+ Members and Monday for Deluxe Edition/MVP Bundle preorders.

Official player ratings have been released for the game.

Junior wide receiver Mike Matthews is ranked as Tennessee’s fastest player with a No. 94 overall rating for speed. Redshirt sophomore wide receiver Braylon Staley is the Vols’ second fastest player with a No. 93 speed rating, followed by redshirt junior defensive back Isaiah Hardge (No. 92), senior defensive back Kayin Lee (No. 92) and sophomore defensive back Tre Poteat III (No. 91).

South Carolina wide receiver Nyck Harbor is ranked as the fastest SEC player in “EA Sports College Football 27.” The 6-foot-5, 239-pound senior has a No. 99 overall speed rating.
