The Georgia Bulldogs made a major splash on the recruiting trail with the addition of five-star tight end Jaxon Dollar. Georgia’s dominance in recruiting tight ends continues, but this past week was not all good news for the Dawgs. Georgia lost a commitment from four-star cornerback recruit Jerry Outhouse.
Georgia also made a late addition to the class of 2026 with running back recruit Nick Peal. This commitment doesn’t impact Georgia’s class of 2027.
A big-time recent recruiting winner in the SEC is the Kentucky Wildcats, who now have the third-best class in the conference. Kentucky has had a huge spring and is up to 13 commitments. The Florida Gators are another SEC team that’s had an excellent spring on the recruiting trail and has a top-10 recruiting class.
The SEC is still home to college football’s two best recruiting classes. The Oklahoma Sooners (No. 1) and Texas A&M Aggies (No. 2) have the top two recruiting classes in the country and the SEC. Kentucky (No. 7) and Florida (No. 10) also have top-10 recruiting classes early in the process. Despite Dollar’s commitment, Georgia has just the No. 14 recruiting class in the nation.
