Judah Daniels has officially signed with Florida State.
Daniels is a 6-foot-3, 265-pound interior defensive lineman who previously played along the offensive line prior to his senior season. A three-star prospect, he plays for Fort Myers and is considered the 1,051st best player in the nation (114th best DL, 112th best in FL) by 247Sports Composite.
After a strong camp showing this summer, Daniels was given advice by DL coach Terrance Knighton to try defensive line and has so far taken nicely to the position change. In 10 games this season, he tallied 71 tackles (49 solo and 15 for loss) and seven sacks, per MaxPreps. Five of those sacks came in one game. He’s very raw but the production is encouraging.
He profiles along the interior defensive line and will need at least a season or two of development before becoming a rotational contributor. Norvell and company will hope that they’ve unearthed an overlooked and under-recruited talent.
From his official Florida State bio:
Three-star defensive lineman out of Fort Myers High School…No. 946 nationally in Rivals Industry Ranking…recorded 71 tackles, 15.0 tackles for loss and 7.0 sacks in senior season…added two blocked field goals and one forced fumble…opened season with 5.0 sacks against Mariner…tallied 18 tackles in 12 games as junior at Fort Myers…led Green Wave to second round of 5A state playoffs in 2024…committed to Florida State in September 2025 over offers from South Florida and FIU.
