Seven Vols earn 2025 All-SEC football honors

Seven Tennessee football players earned All-SEC honors from the conference’s coaches on Tuesday.
Redshirt junior wide receiver Chris Brazzell II was the Vols’ only first-team selection.
Redshirt sophomore running back DeSean Bishop, junior linebacker Arion Carter and redshirt junior kickoff specialist Josh Turbyville earned second-team honors.
Tennessee’s Lance Heard, a junior offensive tackle, freshman cornerback Ty Redmond and sophomore cornerback Colton Hood were all named Third-Team All-SEC.
The Vols have produced 21 All-SEC selections by the coaches during Josh Heupel’s tenure as head coach, the most produced in a five-year period since having 23 players recognized from 2006-10.
Brazzell II led the SEC with 1,017 receiving yards, ranking ninth in Tennessee history.
Bishop started all 12 regular-season games for the Vols in 2025. During the regular season, he totaled 983 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns on 163 attempts.
Carter led Tennessee with 76 total tackles, six tackles for a loss and 1.5 sacks during his junior season.
Turbyville, who earned All-SEC honors for a second consecutive season, recorded 67 touchbacks, ranking first in the conference and is tied for third in the nation.
Heard also started all 12 games for Tennessee during the 2025 regular season. He helped the Vols’ offensive line earn a fifth consecutive Joe Moore Award semifinalist honor. Heard played 832 offensive snaps and allowed one sack.
Hood made 12 starts for Tennessee in his first season with the Vols. He totaled 50 tackles, 4.5 tackles for a loss, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery for a touchdown, one interception for a touchdown and eight pass breakups.
Redmond totaled 39 tackles, one tackle for a loss, three interceptions and 10 pass breakups. His 13 passes deflections are tied for first in the SEC.
