Clemsonfootball’s recruiting momentum continued on Saturday as four-star defensive back Jayden Aparicio-Bailey announced his commitment to the Tigers.

The highly regarded Alabama prospect picked Clemson over Georgia, giving Dabo Swinney another significant recruiting victory. Auburn and South Carolina also made his final four, but both schools had their official visits canceled as Clemson pulled ahead late in the process.

Aparicio-Bailey has been on Clemson’s radar for more than a year. The Tigers offered him last June and hosted him at camp before bringing him back for last season’s opener against LSU. He also attended Clemson’s Elite Retreat and returned for an official visit in late May, while Georgia was the only other school to receive an official visit.

Although recruiting services project the 6-foot-2 defensive back as a safety, Clemson sees him as a cornerback. He joins Bryant Robinson and Christian Chancellor as defensive back commitments in the 2027 class.

With the addition of Aparicio-Bailey, Clemson now has 24 commitments in the 2027 class, including 17 since the middle of May. Rivals ranks him as the No. 117 overall prospect in the country and the No. 4 player in Alabama. He also becomes the fifth defensive back in Clemson’s class, joining four-star Jarrell Chandler, three-star Harrison Luke, Robinson and Chancellor.

Here’s how social media reacted to Clemson landing Jayden Aparicio-Bailey.
