Clemson closed out its regular season on a high note Saturday, leaving Williams-Brice Stadium with a 28-14 win that never felt out of its control after the early stages. The Tigers handled the afternoon with a steady, methodical approach, relying on long possessions and a defense that prevented South Carolina from ever finding rhythm.
The scoring began when Adam Randall powered in from 10 yards out, giving Clemson the initial spark it needed. What followed was a burst of big plays in the second quarter, with both teams trading touchdowns in rapid succession. Cade Klubnik delivered one of the day’s signature moments when he gathered a loose ball, turned upfield, and sprinted into the end zone to push Clemson back in front. Nolan Hauser added a 32-yard field goal just before the break, sending the Tigers into halftime up 17-14.
South Carolina managed two long touchdown completions during that stretch, but those bursts were exceptions rather than a trend. The Gamecocks struggled to string together meaningful drives, converting only once on third down. Clemson’s control of the ball told the story—79 offensive snaps, more than 38 minutes of possession, and a balanced attack that kept moving the chains.
Randall anchored the ground game with 102 yards on 24 carries, while T.J. Moore and Antonio Williams provided reliable targets in the passing game, combining for 13 receptions and more than 170 yards. Hauser added another field goal in the third quarter, helping Clemson create the separation it needed as the defense tightened.
Clemson finishes the regular season 7-5 and will learn its bowl destination on Dec. 7. South Carolina’s season ends at 4-8.

For some strange reason 4-7 South Carolina was favored over 5-6 Clemson and 5-6 Kentucky was favored over 7-4 Louisville.

This ACC officiating crew should be investigated and/or fired. That was an obvious bounce and incompletion in the Clemson/South Carolina game. It’s at least the 3rd obviously wrong call in Clemson’s favor.
