The Oklahoma Sooners are in a dogfight with the Alabama Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa. The Tide has moved the ball well against the Sooners' defense, but Oklahoma is in the game in large part due to turnovers.
The Sooners got a massive one from cornerback Eli Bowen. With Alabama deep in Sooners territory, Bowen intercepted Simpson for just the second time this season and took it 87 yards for the touchdown. It gave Oklahoma 10-0 lead in the first quarter.
It's the second year in a row that Bowen has intercepted an Alabama quarterback. Last year, it was Jalen Milroe in Oklahoma's upset of the Crimson Tide. It's still a tight ballgame as the Crimson Tide has found ways to punch the ball into the end zone on back-to-back drives.
