Michigan State football has reportedly landed a commitment from a rival transfer wide receiver.

Earlier this week, the Spartans added a transfer wide receiver from rival Michigan in Fredrick Moore, and on Sunday they added a transfer wide receiver from another rival. Notre Dame transfer wide receiver KK Smith reportedly committed to Michigan State on Sunday. Pete Nakos of On3 reported the latest Spartans transfer addition.

Smith has been at Notre Dame for three seasons, appearing in 10 of the Fighting Irish‘s games this past season. Smith recorded eight receptions for 123 yards and two touchdowns.

While Smith doesn’t have a ton of production, he does come from a big-time program like Notre Dame and will provide some high-level experience to the Spartans. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.

Michigan State is set to play Notre Dame next year in South Bend, Ind. so Smith will get the opportunity to return to his old school for one game. The Spartans will also host the Fighting Irish the following season.
