Stanford football adds Norman North TE Ben Kolar to 2027 recruiting class

Norman North tight end Ben Kolar announced his commitment to Stanford football on Tuesday.
The junior chose the Cardinal after receiving nearly a dozen offers from several Division I programs.
Kolar is ranked No. 7 on The Oklahoman's initial Super 30 rankings of the state's top college football recruits in the 2027 recruiting class.

He is a three-star recruit and the nation's No. 27-ranked tight end in his class, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.
The 6-foot-3, 225-pound standout chose Stanford over the likes of OU, Oklahoma State, Miami, Michigan, Penn State and Tennessee, among others. He also held an offer from Iowa State, where his older brothers Charlie and John both played.
Ben shined as junior to record 44 receptions for 622 yards and nine touchdowns. He also played on the defensive line and totaled 49 tackles and two sacks.
He is the younger brother of Los Angeles Chargers tight end Charlie Kolar and former Oklahoma State and Iowa State quarterback John Kolar.
