Super Bowl stars lead way in South Shore Football Player of the Week

South Shore Tech’s Johnny Burgio has been voted the South Shore High School Football Offensive Player of the Week.
The senior received 6,000 votes to earn the honor. He ran for 164 yards and 2 TDs in a 22-6 win over Southeastern.
The Defensive/Special Teams Player of the Week will be announced on Tuesday afternoon.
This marks our final fall athlete of the week poll of the season. We’ll transition to winter player of the week polls shorty.

Mike Wildfire, Sr., Cohasset
Wildfire ran for 2 TDs and helped lead Cohasset to a 22-14 win over Amesbury in the Div. 7 Super Bowl.
Gus Greene, Sr. Cohasset
Greene ran 16 times for 131 yards and a TD in a 22-14 win over Amesbury in the Div. 7 Super Bowl. His 42-yard TD run in the fourth quarter proved to be the winning score.
Will Santacroce, Jr., Cohasset
Santacroce had 2 quarterback sacks in a 22-14 win over Amesbury in the Div. 7 Super Bowl.
Jack Luccarelli, Jr., Norwell
Luccarelli ran 23 times for 218 yards and a TD in a 28-14 loss to Fairhaven in the Div. 6 Super Bowl. He also threw a TD pass.
Mekhi White, Sr., Randolph
White ran 102 yards and a TD as the Blue Devils defeated West Boylston, 21-0, in the Div. 8 Super Bowl.
Alin Norisca, Sr., Randolph
Norisca ran for 87 yards and 2 TDs as the Blue Devils defeated West Boylston, 21-0, in the Div. 8 Super Bowl.
Jonny Donovan, Sr., Scituate
Donovan threw for 336 yards, 4 TDs and led the game-winning drive as Scituate defeated Tewksbury, 42-41, in the Div. 4 Super Bowl. Donovan will graduate with the career Super Bowl passing TD record (8).
Grayson Foley, Jr., Scituate
Foley tallied 205 yards of offense and scored 2 TDs as Scituate defeated Tewksbury, 42-41, in the Div. 4 Super Bowl.
Miller Shea, Sr., Scituate
Shea caught the winning TD pass with 16 seconds remaining as the Sailors defeated Tewksbury, 42-41, in the Div. 4 Super Bowl. He finished with 2 catches for 62 yards and 2 TDs.
Johnny Burgio, Sr., South Shore Tech
Burgio ran for 176 yards and a TD in a 30-24 loss to Cape Cod Tech in the Small School MVADA championship.
Dillon O’Brien, Soph., South Shore Tech
O’Brien ran for 154 yards and intercepted a pass in a 30-24 loss to Cape Cod Tech in the Small School MVADA championship.
