It was a productive day for the Syracuse football recruiting office yesterday. The Orange added two more commitments for the 2027 class.

First up was defensive tackle Edan Richardson, who is originally from Brampton Ontario but is playing his high school football in Florida. The 6’3” 270 pound Richardson is not ranked right now but had offers from Boston College and UCF among others.

Wide receiver Chanin “Choo” Harris chose Syracuse over Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and Wisconsin. The three-star from South Carolina is the second-highest ranked commit in the class and he told Rivals that his visit locked in his belief that Syracuse was the best place for his development- on and off the field.

“First was the faith-based culture inside the program,” he said. “Second was their focus on preparing players for life after football. Third was the atmosphere created by the coaching staff and players.”

Harris is ranked as a top 100 wide receiver in the class, and ESPN has him 42nd on their position ranking. Here’s a look at Harris’ highlights.

Syracuse has 15 commits and the class is ranked 29th by 247 and 36th by Rivals.
