The Orange got a big commitment to head into the Holiday weekend. Four-star running back Elijah Kimble from Canisius High School in Buffalo chose the Orange over a host of offers and after taking official visits to Indiana, UConn and North Carolina.
He’s a four-star recruit who is considered the 1st or 2nd ranked player in New York depending on the outlet. He had taken multiple visits to Ohio State and is ranked a top-25 running back in the class by 247, Rivals and ESPN>
The 5’10” 180 pound Kimble has been a standout for Canisius rushing for over 1,700 yards each of his three seasons there. Kimble’s addition was the reason Syracuse encouraged both Xavier Bala and Sa’Nir Brooks to seek other schools. He will now pair with Tylek Lewis to give the Orange two backs in the 2027 class, which is up to 24 commitments.
Here’s a look at Kimble in action.
